    Consent and Release Forms

Intellectual property and copyright regulations are complicated and getting more so in today’s digital environment. OCMPA partners with the Office of the Executive Legal Counsel and CUNY to ensure that consent and release forms are comprehensive and up to date. People who appear in Baruch College promotional materials must grant permission to have their image or story used for marketing and communication purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, print, digital, and multimedia marketing materials, promotional pieces, social media efforts, and the College websites. Signed forms must be maintained by the department or unit requesting them.

The forms below are designed to cover most promotional usages, but sometimes, special circumstances require customized documents. Please contact OCMPA if you have any questions about the forms and their use or if you have a unique case to discuss.

    • Model Release: For use of likeness in any format for commercial use
    • Student-Produced Creative Content: For use of student-produced materials
    • Audience Release: Sign required to be displayed at events that will be recorded or photographed where audience members’ likeness may be captured

Contact Nicholas Caccese, director of multimedia production, with any questions.
